The International Labour Organization (ILO) has cited the Philippines for making progress in combating child labor
during the recently concluded summit of Asian labor and employment ministers in Busan, South Korea.

MANILA (ILO News) - Child labor,
especially in its worst forms, is in decline for the first time across
the globe, the International Labour Organization (ILO) said, in a new,
cautiously optimistic report entitled "The end of child labor: Within
reach".

Government, worker and employer
leaders from some 40 Asian, Pacific and Arab countries will gather at the 14th Asian Regional Meeting of the International Labour Organization (ILO) in Busan, Republic of Korea from 29 August to 1 September to shape an agenda aimed at addressing a wide range of employment and workplace issues in the region.
