The Labour Affairs Bureau
The Labour Affairs Bureau, a public department of the Macau Special Administrative Region, is responsible for assisting in the formulation and implementation of policies concerning labour, employment, occupational safety and health, and vocational training. In response to economic development and social demand, the Labour Affairs Bureau, established in 1984 in accordance with the Decree-Law No 42/84/M of 12th May, has been reorganised over the past twenty years by the Decree-Laws No 40/89/M of 19th June and No 52/98/M of 9th November, and most recently by the Administrative Regulation No 24/2004 of 26th July. Mr. Ka Hung Shuen is the Director of the Labour Affairs Bureau.
Macau Federation of Trade Unions
Established in 1950, the Macau Federation of Trade Unions (MFTU) consists of unions and employees of different industries. It has 43 sector branch trade unions with more than 50,000 members. Mrs. Ho Sut Heng is the President.
Macau Chamber of Commerce
Established in 1913, the Macau Chamber of Commerce (MCC) is the largest employers' organiaation with extensive representation in commercial circles. It has 90 group members and 1,345 shop members. The Chamber has played an important role in Macau's social and economic development.
The current President is Mr.
Ma Man-kei.
