HRD Korea (formerly : Korea Manpower Agency) is a specialized organization to carry out core activities for national human resources development such as vocational education, education and training, national qualification tests, skills promotion, international cooperation and overseas employment, foreign workforce employment support and small and medium business learning organization, employment promotion through the Work-Net. Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training
The Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training (KRIVET) was established in September 1997 to support national policy on human resources development and the development of the vocational capacity of Koreans through lifelong learning. The English site provides a list of projects and information on the VET Indicators. The text of each VET Indicators' volume features both Korean and English.
Seoul Institute for Vocational Training in Advanced Technology (SIVAT)
SIVAT was established by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea (formerly : Korea Manpower Agency) in collaboration with ILO/APSDEP in 1989 to provide efficient and systematic vocational training for partner countries. As the only training institute for overseas participants, it is aimed at providing experiences and know-how Korea has accumulated in the vocational training field.
