Description
In support of the GRP MNLF – Final Peace Agreement, the 3rd phase of the UN/Multidonor Programme further strengthened the foundations for lasting peace and development in Southern Philippines particularly the special Zone of Peace and Development through the provision of basic services, capacity development and confidence building at all levels of government – community, regional and national. Specific gains have been made in many communities of Special Zone of Peace and Development (SZOPAD). ILO was the executing agency of Component 5, Project Community Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Development in non-farm sectors (PROCEED), to increase income, and gainful employment benefits for the poor sectors through community, enterprise expanding, self-employment and wage employment opportunities through vocational training and enterprise development.
