Working Out of Disaster

The ILO, together with the governments, employers’ and workers’ organizations in the four countries has been engaged in its largest-ever effort for income generation and employment creation, helping to restore the employment and livelihoods of people affected.

To mark the first anniversary of the disaster the ILO has documented the lives of those people affected by the disaster and their efforts to get back to work quickly and rebuild their lives.  The book is an attempt to provide an historical and photographic record of courage and initiative in the face of disaster.
