In October 2006 the ILO’s Asia-Pacific member states
designated 2006–2015 as the “Asian Decent Work Decade” and
committed themselves to implementing policies and
programmes for the progressive realization of full,
productive employment, and decent work for all within this
timeframe. To support these aims five regional priority areas were
selected; competitiveness, productivity and jobs;
labour market governance; youth employment; managing
labour migration; and local development for poverty
reduction. |
