2004 Global Report on Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining

Freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining is one of the four pillars of the ILO's Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work (the others being the elimination of forced labour, child labour and discrimination in the workplace).  Every year the ILO reports on the global situation in one of these four areas - covering the most universal and fundamental core conventions of the ILO.  This new report provides analysis of the current situation and trends regarding freedom of association and collective bargaining.  Its findings help to shape the ILO's future projects and priorities.
