CLOSING STATEMENT
BY
MR. SUKESADA ITO
VICE-CHAIRPERSON (WORKERS)
Mr. Chairperson, distinguished
delegates and Ladies and Gentleman, I am very much pleased to end this
meeting with great success and would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to
Mr. Somavia and ILO Geneva staff, Mr. Nodera, Director of Asian Regional
Office and Asian Regional Office Staffs and also Ms. Nicole
de Warlincourt, without sincere and efficient collaboration from
these staffs, we can never end this Meeting with successful and
constructive outcome.
I am honored to be
appointed to the Vice Chairman of this Meeting likewise the previous
twelfth Regional Meeting. I will assure you that I don’t spare any
efforts to contribute to the creation and implementation of the Decent
Work and the development of Asia and Pacific Region. Now we have just
adopted the conclusion on the basis of the consensus and the constructive
collaboration by all three groups.
I expected that the almost
all the contents of the conclusion of this 13th meetings will
be achieved by our at-most efforts during 4 years and we can start to
challenge new subject in the next meeting. Now I recognized there is no
presence of the government of Myanmar at this Meeting.
We
have to encourage the government of Myanmar in order to solve the problem
of the forced labor. The Government, Employers and Workers all three
social partners collaborate and strengthen the solidarity to realize the
full participation of all the constituents in this region to the next
Regional Meeting.
The last but not least, I
would like to extend my hearty thanks to the Kingdom of Thailand
government, officials and all staffs of this country for organizing such a
splendid and unforgettable Meeting.
I wish you all the best and Bon Voyage.
