Working with governments
Without political will there can be little progress in implementing changes necessary to better fight human trafficking and the related sexual and labour exploitation.
That's why we've worked closely with the Governments in all five of the project-countries - to reinforce our commitment to them within the UN System and to demonstrate the value our technical assistance has to offer to them - our constituents.
Our project has taken a holistic approach, working simultaneously with Governments and the other social partners, but also at grassroots level directly with NGOs and individuals. Working at a variety of levels - and facilitating the inter-action and inter-dependency of these groups has been one of the project's key approaches - and a proven practice that we recommend to others for replication.
