- To collect, process and analyse the information related to chemical safety;
- To conduct the research on the occupational safety and health in the use of chemicals at work, make the suggestions and measures on improving working environment and raising workers' safety consciousness;
- To provide the information consulting service.

- Training courses, workshops and seminars: Organize workshops, training courses and seminars on "Dissemination and Application of the Chemical Information Cards " in Hebei, Hubei, Fujian and Hainan in recent years.
- National or international projects: To introduce and applicate the chemical information cards jointly with ILO.
- Research activities: Undertake the research activities on improvement of the workers' safety consciousness and self-protection abilities.
- Consulting services: To provide the consulting service on chemical information cards and hazards of different chemicals.
