Artisans' Association of Cambodia (AAC)

The Artisans' Association of Cambodia, AAC, is an association of autonomous members that collaborate to create more, viable employment opportunities for Cambodians with disabilities, through the medium of craft production and sale.

The AAC aims at developing a ‘brand' and associated standards for marketing the production of Cambodian artisans with disabilities. It also provides information and technical services with widespread beneficiaries, develops international marketing of artisans' products, and acts as a channel for communications within the sector.

The AAC was established in 2000 by four NGOs dealing with disabled and disadvantaged artisans, namely the National Centre of the Disabled Persons, Rehab Craft, Veterans International and Wat Than Training Centre. The AAC is funded by UNDP through its executing partner, the World Rehabilitation Fund. The ILO has provided technical support for the association.
