Objectives
The ILO workshop “Occupational Classification Information System” – within the framework of the project “Support to Public Employment Services in Lebanon: Strengthening the capacity of the National Employment Authority” – aims to increase employment opportunities through institutional capacity-building, labour market intermediation services, information system development and promoting self-employment opportunities.
Workshop participants will be introduced to the International Standard Classification of Occupation 2008 (ISCO08) produced by ILO and will be exposed to the process of its adaptation from a regional perspective. It will also survey current systems of occupational classification.
