Objectives
The workshop aims to strengthen dialogue and the sharing of good practices on labour inspection between Arab countries. It will explore the role of labour inspection services in mediating encounters between labour laws and new paradigns of production and work management grounded in the principles of decent work. Participants include labour inspection experts from the following countries: Jordan, UAE, Kuwait, Syria, Bahrain, Yemen, Qatar, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Lebanon, Iraq, Palestine and Tunisia. Outcomes include the setting of regional guidelines for enhancing labour inspection effectiveness; the drafting of a regional action plan on labour inspection; and identifying good practices to promote inter-regional cooperation.
