"Submit either one-minute short film (shot via mobile) or a three minutes movie script about positive changes at the workplace to eliminate any forms of discrimination”

Both winners will receive by CFF 1,000 USD each.

This video contest is promoted by the ILO regional office for Arab states and launched in the framework of the International Cabriolet Film Festival CFF.

The aim of this competition is to document breakthrough practices and ideas that enhance positive changes in the workplace to respect the rights to work for all people including these who are often marginalized in the workplace (such as people living with HIV, Persons With Disabilities, individuals with unconventional sexual orientation, migrants, women ...) .

ILO is collecting story to contribute to demystifying stereotypes related to vulnerable groups and contribute in eliminating stigma and discrimination in the workplace against them. The story should be solution-oriented and highlight the benefits of an inclusive workplace.

Applicants are requested to send either:

  • 1. Script for three minute film on the above topic. Scripts can be sent via email (competition@cabrioletfilmfestival.com). The best script will be announced during the festival .
  • 1. One-minute films videoed with mobile phones on the above topic. The film can be uploaded on you-tube and the link sent to competition@cabrioletfilmfestival.com. The best films will be presented during the CFF.

The jury consist of Georges Khabbaz, Nada bou Farhat, Caroline Labaki, Bahij Hjiej, and Joseph Azouri, and the two winners will be announced during the festival.

Deadline for submission is 17 May, 2013 23.59PM (Lebanon Time).

To get started with your entry quickly, here are the rules, in short:

  • Anyone over the age of 18 can participate in this contest.
  • For more information please also read the complete Rules, Terms and Conditions , applying to this contest you are responsible to have red and agreed to them.
  • To submit your entries, complete the official entry form.
  • You can submit more than one contribution.
  • Jury will apply the following selection criteria to identify the winner: 1) content is in-line with the ILO mission and the theme of this contest, 2) stereotypes are exposed and demystified in the story;3) Story should be innovative and solution-oriented;
  • Copyright: ILO and CFF will be entitled to use the selected video for advocacy and awareness on the topic.
  • It is your responsibility to obtain written permission from the subject(s) in the story to use their image(s) in this contest. You can use our video consent form for this. If your contribution will be selected you must submit the model release form to ILO and CFF.
  • Email (1) the entry form together with (2) the link to download the video or the script to competition@cabrioletfilmfestival.com, before 17 May, 2013, 23.59PM (Lebanon Time).
  • Winners will be selected by a panel of judges and announced during the festival
  • The best video and the best script will be reworded with 1000 USD each
