  • Voices from the 100th International Labour Conference II
    14 June 2011  -  A selection of short interviews were filmed at the 100th anniversary of the International Labour Conference, held at the United Nations in Geneva. These highlights include delegates' views on the issue of social justice, the International Labour Conference (ILC) as an invaluable and unique forum for tripartite dialogue between workers, employers and government representatives as well as youth unemployment in the 21st Century.

    13 June 2011  -  In his opening remarks to the High Level Panel on 'Employment and Social Justice in a Globalizing Economy', Egyptian Finance Minister Samir Radwan expressed his hopes for post-revolutionary Egypt. He called for responsive economic policies to promote decent work, sustainable development, social protection, and small and medium-sized entreprises.

  • A vibrant Commitment to Social Dialogue Among Palestinians
    3 June 2011  -  Speaking at a press conference for the launch of a report on the situation of workers in the occupied Arab territories are Mr. Kari Tapiola, Special Adviser to the ILO Director-General and Ms. Nada Al-Nashif, Director of the ILO Regional Office for Arab States, who said that despite their commitment to national dialogue, not much has changed to improve the position of workers.
