  • PROMER

The material designed by the Programme for the Support of Rural Micro Enterprises in Latin America and the Caribbean (PROMER- IFAD) has been used for activities that aim at improving the development of rural micro-enterprises. This initiative is the response to a strategy oriented to continuously and systematically spread various issues with the objective of them being easily used for small rural producers, rural and technical micro entrepreneurs highlighting the importance of the way in which a Business Plan is created, structured and assessed.

Material for training in agroindustrial marketing

    Izquierdo Sandí, Eduardo
Mercadeo Agroindustrial (Agroindustrial marketing). 1st edition. Tegucigalpa, Honduras: INFOP, IFAIN, 2002. 52p.

Considering that the development of the agricultural sector in Honduras has not managed to consolidate mainly because farmers have concentrated on selling raw materials without providing them with an added value, there arises a new view of agriculture - the so-called expanded agriculture - which sees the agricultural sector interact with other sectors of the economy. This support educational material is a useful tool for farmers and rural workers interested in becoming trained in order to improve productive processes.

    - Material for Multimedia Training
National Service of Occupational Training in Industry (SENATI) - Peru

Although SENATI does not provide vocational training oriented exclusively to rural population, the Programa de Capacitación Multimedial (PROCAMM) could be pointed out among its operational technical programmes; this programme is oriented to workers of micro and small-sized enterprises and it trains in some issues connected with the agroindustrial and agricultural sector.

    - Series of "cartillas" on vocational raining
Rural Vocational Training National Service (SENAR) - Brazil

The "cartillas" are a printed institutional resource that is useful as study material and facilitates learning as well as the selection of contents in an orderly way.
Rural Vocational Training "cartillas" are aimed specifically at workers and rural producers while Social Promotion "cartillas" are aimed at workers and rural producers and their families. They are distributed by the Regional Administrations so that trainers can use them in courses and training events with rural population in issues such as floriculture, fruit production, honey production, creation of nurseries, etc.
