New issues or, of increasing importance, such as quality
control and safety and health measures of workers and those that ensure
a friendly relationship between the enterprise and the environment are
already determining factors for international insertion as a result
of the economic restructuring process of the region and the growing
international integration markets. This entails the need to design actions
that take into account this context: for example, prior and simultaneous
training with quality certification processes (ISO 9000), environmental
certification (ISO 14000) and the introduction of safety and occupational
health measures play a key role.
This volume approaches the challenge of training for work
to respond to such demands. The analysis was done based on research
carried out in four countries of the region.
