Publications
A substantial part of Cinterfor/ILO's
activities are documented through its publications: studies,
papers, essays, technical manuals, bibliographic material, reports,
work documents and referencial documents for meetings or seminars,
etc.; editorials, and a variety of items that go from an article
to a book.
The Cinterfor
Bulletin,
which came out on a fourthquartlery basis until 1997 and triquarterly
since 1998, brings together technical, theorical and doctrinary
articles, many of them the product of intellectual energy and the
creative capability of experts and technicians of the region.
Tools
for change, which registers and spreads the results of original
studies: investigations, thesis, academic experiments or experiencies
of interest carried out by investigators or students of Latin America
and the Caribbean, orientated toward the topic of vocational training
and job preparation in the region.
Training
features, finally, brings together papers related to innovative
experiences of special interest, particularly those which document
aspects of training in a certain time and place.
Technical
office papers,where special reference documents
fit in, as do notes of monografic value, and brief essays, that
reflect reflexions and experiences, national as well as regionals,
based fundamentally on training and labor.
On
Arts and Crafts, seeks to disseminate in a
systematic way the most meaningful research on vocational training
conducted in the region. Through this series the Centre seeks to
make available valuable contributions for those involved in vocational
training (government, workers, employers, researchers). These contributions
were many times scattered in articles and reports. Now, they are
put together in order to help and consolidate the work of all agencies
and organisations involved in training in Latin America.
Contributions
to social dialogue and training,seeks
to publish documents in the form of studies, research, reports and
other resources at the international, regional and national level.
Its main goal is to foster social dialogue and training development.
Trade
Unions and Training, is aimed at supplying support and reference
materials, in a systematic manner, for the development of trade
unions activities in the field of training.
Training
and gender, brings the Formujer Programme publications-
Regional Programme to Strengthen the Vocational and Technical Training
of Low-Income Women
Teaching
material. The Center produces teaching materials
to bring support to training programmes in such areas defined by
training institutions as prioritary and in subjects where exists
a lack of that material in a regional level.
Papers.
This section will disseminate through the Internet quality and
valid documents for the vocational training community that are
prepared and gathered together by the Centre. This new way of
providing information allows us to reach an audience that is today
larger and more interested in training as a vehicle of social
inclusion, as a knowledge catalyst, while at the same time contributing
to promote better employability conditions and social dialogue.
Originally, all these documents were presented by Cinterfor/ILO
as contributions during events related to vocational training.
