The presentation is based on the peruvian case, where despite an absence of a support policy to encourage the development of the micro enterprises, it becomes the principal sector in the economy in terms of employment generation. The objetive this research was to analyze the evolution of the micro enterprise sector in Perú from 1,990 to 2,000 in terms of: employment generation, PIB contribution, faced problems, future challenges and based on that to suggest a basic policy framework to promote the micro enterprises as a tool to contribute to the economic development process of Perú. This research covered the analysis of statistical information - thanks to the data base of the Ministry of Industries and Commerce 3- related to the micro enterprises from 1,990 to 2,000 where our country started up an "open economy" policy. |
