The Objective of the Project is to improve the Administrative and Technical
Systems of SECAP and strengthen the main Operational Centres by promoting
training of qualified Technicians and Technologists, as well as workers
that can satisfy the needs of productive sectors, by using CERFN as
a Pilot Centre.
Activities of the Project:
The main activities are:
a- A needs analysis that consists of identifying the training needs
of workers in the productive sector.
b- Developing short-term Training Courses to update or improve knowledge.
c- Developing long-term Technical Training Courses to train qualified
and multi-functional Technicians.
d- Developing long-term Specialisation Courses for Technologists to
train highly qualified and multi-functional Technologists with advanced
and complex technologies.
e- Developing Refreshment Courses for the Instructors of the main Operational
Centres of SECAP, according to technological advancement.
f- Designing Curricular Instruments and Teaching Materials applied to
the development of courses.
g- Developing new procedures to improve SECAP's Administrative and
Technical Systems.
Cooperating body: Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) - Government
of Japan.
Cooperation deadline: from July 2002 until June 2007.
Japanese contribution:
* Sending Japanese experts in the long-term and short-term experts from
Japan and third countries in order to transfer new technology to SECAP's
instructors.
* Granting scholarships to SECAP's administrative and teaching staff
for training in the main Training Centres of Japan.
* Providing the necessary machinery and equipment to transfer technology
and practices in training courses and vocational improvement.
