The National Employment Bureau is an executive
unit from the Ministry of Labour and Social Security of Uruguay.
Its mission is to develop actions that help
make economic growth compatible with the creation of high quality
employment and promoting in this way the development and competitiveness
of enterprises and workers.
The central goal of its work is to develop
research activities; orientation and training that facilitate
the entry into working life for those workers with employment
difficulties and improve the quality of vocational training.
Its actions are based on the idea that the
above is possible only with the participation of workers, entrepreneurs,
government and social organizations. This is the reason why
the DINAE convokes for dialogue and for joint efforts to meet
the needs of the different sectors.
With the National Board of Employment (JUNAE)
integrated by the PIT/CNT, entrepreneurs and government and
the financing of the fund of retraining, a series of programmes
are being executed to support those facing difficulties in employment.
The set of actions developed by the DINAE focus
on the generation of active policies of employment and vocational
training that ensure continuous and efficient training of the
labour force and that contribute a productive balance between
enterprise and workers interests facilitating the modernization
of the work life in the country.
The JUNAE is a tripartite agency that works
within the Ministry of Labour and Social Security. It is integrated
by delegates of the Entrepreneurs and Workers and presided by
the National Director of Employment. It has the role of administrating
the Fund of Retraining and to assist the DINAE in the reformulation
of policies of employment and vocational training.
