INSAFORP. Assessment based on labour competency
technical standards. 1st edition. El Salvador: INSAFORP, 2005.
The purpose of this document is to explain the procedure to be followed
in order to design, test and apply assessment instruments based on Labour
Competency Technical Standards (LCTS), taking, in their design, the
LCTS previously validated by the Standardisation Technical Committee
(STC) of the corresponding sector as the starting point.
It is designed for it to be used as a self-teaching material, a learning
aid in large or small groups and oriented to teachers, instructors,
facilitators and consultants of educational institutions, enterprises
engaged in vocational training and/or certification, consultant firms,
entrepreneurs and workers who are part of STC teams or different technical
teams.
Its elaboration considers the model of learning guide of the Systematic
Instructional and Curricular Development Methodology (SICD), particularly
during the stages of design and development. It includes the necessary
theory, examples and practical exercises to master basic concepts. It
also contains practical procedures to: interpret LCTS, use techniques
and instruments, establish detectors, test instruments and assess candidates
who are interested in certifying their competencies. It also takes into
account assessment instruments for the cognitive, psychomotor and attitudinal
domains in order to verify the acquired learning.
This document, together with the ones mentioned below, gives support
to the process of Standardisation and Assessment that are part of the
proposal of a System of Standardisation and Certification of Labour
Competencies for the Republic (SSCLC) of El Salvador. Such documents
are:
1- Training guide to plan and carry out events related to a System
