The Private Entrepreneurs Confederation
of Bolivia (CEPB) created the National Institute for Labour
Training (INFOCAL) in January 17th, 1996. INFOCAL was created
in the framework of the agreement approved by law in February
14th, 1996 between the CEPB and the Ministry of Human Development.
It is a non-profit-making private institution
of public welfare.
Its mission is to lead the vocational training in the country.
The Foundations goal is the technical
and vocational training. This goal is directly informed by the
labour market requirements with the goal of achieving labour
competitiveness, as well as to contribute to improve the country
productivity and the standard of living of its inhabitants.
INFOCAL is conceived as a National System integrated
by the National Foundation and nine Departmental Foundations
in which the directories are presided by a representative of
CEPB and the departmental federations of private entrepreneurs.
The basic transversal principles are at all
levels that sustain the activities of the institution and determine
the services of vocational training in the diverse contexts:
quality, employability, gender equity and sustainable development.
The global strategies are:
- Organizational-institutional: to consolidate
the INFOCAL foundations as a system of training at the National
level.
- Technical pedagogic: to seek the modernization
of the INFOCAL offer orient permanently to satisfy the demand.
- Administrative-financial: to seek the economic
strength of the INFOCAL system and the continuous improvement
of its administrative management.
- With this directions INFOCAL establishes
a harmonious and uniform action in all the country.
