The National Training Institute is an autonomous
entity created by law 3.506, 21st. May 1965 and reformed
by its Organic Law # 6868, May 6th 1983.
Its main task is to promote and develop the
vocational training of men and women of all productive sectors
in order to further economic development and contribute to the
improvement of life and work conditions of the people of Costa
Rica through the training, certification and accreditation to
productive, sustainable, equitative, high quality and competitive
work.
The INA´s mission is to promote and develop
the vocational training of workers of all sectors of the economy
to further economic development and contribute to the improvement
of life and work conditions of the Costa Ricans.
INA´s policies for the 21st Century.
-To give an answer to the requirements of training
of the Costa Rican society through development of adequate programmes
that deal with the areas of competitiveness, quality, leadership
and entrepreneur capacity.
-To organize and coordinate the National System
of Vocational Training of all sectors of the economy.
- To design and execute programmes and projects that ensure
the quality of the internal and external management of the
INA services.
- To ensure the development and the commitment of the human
resources with the objectives and institutional policies within
an adequate organizational structure.
The social vocation of the INA has allowed
the institution to project actions all along the country benefiting
thousands of Costa Ricans in all the productive areas.
