Tripartite Foundation for On-the-job Training, Madrid.
Information and communication technologies
applied to continuing training.
Madrid: European Social Fund; INEM, 2005. 262p.
Spain has made considerable progress in the application of new information
and communication technologies (ICT) in every productive environment
and particularly in the training field.
This document offers an overview of how and to what extent telematic
systems are used in training for a job post. It analyses and reviews
the contribution of ICTs to the introduction of innovations in distance
training actions, thus favouring the development of the Information
and Knowledge Society. This piece of work is a compilation of four
studies conducted from different approaches but with an object of
analysis in common.
These studies introduce a reflection upon the progress of investments
in technological innovation applied to learning systems in different
contexts: management and learning environments; continuing training;
information society and labour relations and finally some research
on its development and trends. Each of the research actions responds
to the different approaches suggested by the Tripartite Foundation:
users, suppliers, standards and labour relations.
The Tripartite Foundation privileged exposing the results and conclusions
of each piece of research in a unique compiled document that can provide
a general idea of the current situation regarding the application
of ICT to continuing training. Apart from the results obtained during
that research, this document analysed other reports coming from studies
developed by the Foundation itself during the last few years.
