Volume 2, Issue 1 - January 2010

It is a delight to be sending out the second edition of the Broad Based Wealth and Job Creation News. Firstly, we would like to thank everyone for your feedback on our first edition, and highlight that we count on your support to make this newsletter a success. It is our hope that through this newsletter we can give the Small and Medium Enterprise world in Zambia more and better visibility. We are convinced that we can provide an opportunity of sharing information on enterprise development in Zambia, to which the ILO and its partners are contributing in a number of significant ways.

We wish to welcome you all to the inaugural newsletter of the United Nations Broad Based Wealth and Job Creation Programme (BBW&JC). Indeed this is the first edition in a series we intend to issue, as we roll-out the programme in the coming 3 years of its planned life cycle. We trust that this newsletter together with other forum we will have do provide you the reader with a platform to understand better what we are doing and follow through on our activities. This newsletter will be a quarterly supplement with updates and information of our activities and related events to document the impact of this joint UN initiative in Zambia.
