- Skills - Africa Commission: Skills for Youth Employment and Rural Development in Western and Southern Africa: Bernin, Burkina Faso and Zimbabwe
The technical cooperation programme Skills for Youth Employment and Rural Development in Western and Southern Africa seeks to increase opportunities for young women and men to find gainful and productive employment through strengthening formal and informal systems of technical and vocational skills provision
- YES-JUMP - (Youth Employment Support - Jobs for the Unemployed and Marginalized young People)
The Youth Employment Support (YES) Jobs for the Unemployed and Marginalized young People (JUMP) is part of the ILO’s response to the Zimbabwe Decent Work Country Programme adopted in April 2009 by the Social Partners Government, Workers and Employers. The project is facilitating entrepreneurship, technical, vocational education and life skills training linked to existing opportunities in selected communities, and boosting youth-led small enterprise and cooperative development with access to microfinance for pilot projects
- HIV and AIDS: Transport Sector
The ILO HIV Prevention and Economic Empowerment Along Southern African Transport Corridors will contribute to the reduction of the impact of HIV/AIDS in Sub Saharan Africa by addressing the world of work vulnerabilities of infected and affected men and women workers.
Constituents, cooperative apex organizations and informal and social economy organisations that operate in corridor areas will be assisted to provide economic and social services to their members and communities in preventing and mitigating the impact of HIV/AIDS/TB. The project will organise and economically empower Informal economy operators in the selected corridors to help mitigate the impact HIV AIDS/TB. Evidence-based interventions and knowledge sharing
