SPECIAL MEETING on An African Perspective to the ILO Declarationon Social Justice for a Fair Globalization

High-level representatives of the governments, workers and employers of the International Labour Organization (ILO) as well as ILO Directors in Africa held a two-day special meeting to look at an African perspective to the 2008 Declaration on Social Justice for a Fair Globalization.

Preparatory meeting of Experts on the 1st African Decent Work Symposium on "Together addressing the implications of the financial and economic crisis on Africa’s peoples"

More than 60 senior representatives of governments, workers’ and employers’ organizations as well as academicians and international officials, gather in Addis Ababa on 27-28 February to discuss a wide range of implications of the financial and economic crisis on Africa's peoples.

  • Presentation, discussion and adoption of the inputs of the Preparatory Meeting of Experts to the Special Meeting of the Tripartite African Members of the ILO Governing Body (20 March 2009, Geneva) and the High-level Tripartite Meeting on the Current Global Financial and Economic Crisis (23 March 2009, Geneva).
