Created in 1993 to remedy the lack of information on ILO regional activities, ALIS - African Labour Information System - has become a tool for programming, managing, monitoring and evaluation of activities and contributes to providing constituents assistance adapted to their needs.
ALIS includes databases which contain information on technical cooperation activities, assistance/advice, training, and socio-economic information on African countries, ILO constituents in the region :
- AFRIS Technical cooperation projects financed by external funds - RBTC Regional Budget for Technical cooperation projects - REPORT Missions reports for the Africa region - SEMINAR Seminars organized by the region - PARTICIPANT Participants to seminars - CONSULTANT Directory of consultant candidates - COUNTRY Statistical information on African countries
The developpement of the system is based on the collaboration of Area Offices, MDTs and projects which are the data collection sources.
