| The Regional office for
Africa is located in Abidjan (Côte d'Ivoire)
The mandate of this Office
is : - to promote the objectives
and implementing the policies of the ILO,
- to coordinate the planning,
implementing and evaluation of ILO activities in the region,
- to provide the regional financial and administrative management,
- to provide human resources management,
- to provide support
in programming and management of technical cooperation activities, administrative
and financial to 12 area offices and 6 multidisciplinary teaMs which composed
the network of the ILO in Africa,
- to represent the ILO at the regional
level with Institutions like the OAU (Organization of African
Unity), ECA (Economic Community for Africa)
and African sub-regional Organizations. The
