Enhancing women's role in improving access and quality of basic and reproductive health care

Objectives : To enhance understanding and disseminate know how on health micro-insurance schemes as an innovative approach to social protection for families and communities
Main activities : Technical support to organized women's groups willing to promote their own health micro-insurance schemes, capacity building for women groups to define health services and to negotiate with health providers and support structures, advocacy activities at the national/international levels and networking activities at the regional level
Main results : Adequate technical support to women organizations, associations, trade unions and support structures on implementation, management, monitoring of health micro-insurance schemes through capacity building and empowerment, production of training tools and guides advocacy towards decision-makers and other relevant actors
The "Concertation" between promoters of mutual health organizations in Africa
