Objectives : To contribute to the reform of the pension system and to design proposals to face the crisis situation including the extension of coverage to the currently excluded groups
Main activities : Drafting of a report and submission to the government and the social partners
Main results : Report produced including recommendations and guidelines for future operations of the pension system.
Analysis of the actual and potential contribution of community-type micro-finance institutions in the development of insurance products - Haïti
Main donor : France
Objectives : To encourage community-type micro-finance institutions to develop micro-insurance products answering social protection needs of poor segments of the population
Main activities : Consulting services
Main results : Draft study report - finalised version under preparation.
Feasibility study for the extension of health care benefits - Peru
Main donor : International Labour Office (ILO), Health Insurance of Social Security
Objectives : To determine the financial and actuarial feasibility of including unprotected groups of the population within the scope of health care benefits provided by ESSALUD
Main activities : Review of the situation with reports and recommendations for implementation, drafting of a comprehensive project including policy, legal and administration components
Main results : Institutional arrangements taken for the launching of the study.
