In 1998, STEP carried out some research studies in partnership with various actors (USAID/PHR, WSM, ANMC et BIT/ACOPAM) about the contribution of mutual insurance schemes to financing, providing and giving access to health care in West and Central Africa. These studies were the object of case studies and a synthesis of the work as listed below.
