The Coordination Network between healthcare mutual organization development actors in Africa is a network to share experiences, skills and information about the development of healthcare mutual organizations in Western and Central Africa.
Coordination Network actions affect many different actors involved in the development of healthcare mutual companies and other innovative mechanisms that broaden the access to health care.
The network’s objectives are:
- Promote the development of active organizations in health insurance domain among African populations (healthcare mutual organizations or micro insurance organizations);
- Support the emergence of mutual organizations representative associations;
- Share and exchange experience;
- Favour the access to knowledge and information;
- Reinforce cooperation and synergies;
- Implement advocacy actions to contribute to the improvement of healthcare policies and social protection.
STEP is member of the steering committee and insures the secretariat of Cooperation Network office that has acquired in 2005 the association status in Senegalese law.
