The International Alliance for the Extension of Social Protection was created in September 2005. It gathers international organizations and networks that represent the cooperatives and insurance mutual organizations (OIT, ISSA, ICA, ICMIF, IHCC and WIEGO), all active in social protection domain. This new alliance represents a platform for advocacy, exchanges, knowledge sharing, know-how and information about questions regarding the extension of social protection in the world.
