Afrique de l'Ouest - National Policies

In the framework of Strategies to Reduce Poverty (SRP), Senegal, Benin and Burkina Faso have started to develop social protection policy documents that settle the political vision of these countries and identify actions and programs to carry out, specially in favour of vulnerable groups and all social categories excluded from formal protection schemes.

STEP team has contributed actively to the development of national strategy documents in Senegal and Burkina Faso. In Benin, the national social protection strategy, mainly defined by the Minsitry of Social Affairs, is mostly oriented towards indigent populations.
