West Africa - MAS Software
The production of technical, methodological and didactic tools constitutes one of the main activities of STEP. These tools are produced on the base of participative procedures associating professionals, researchers, managers and pedagogues coming from different countries.
MAS Gestion and MAS Pilote are support software programs for Healthcare Micro-Insurance (MAS) structures. They are the outcome of a systematic knowledge and experiences capitalization work in healthcare mutual organizations field.
Both software programs developed by STEP in Africa are currently in use in various mutual organizations in West Africa. The completed tests and regular updates have proven the real adaptation capacity of the software programs to field necessities.
STEP’s objective is to reinforce technical capacities of Healthcare Micro-Insurance (MAS) managers and responsible officers and supporting structures (NGOs, programmes, unions, etc.) through the dissemination and coaching of these two tools.
The installation of these software programs includes trainings about:
- General presentation of software, characteristics and limits;
- Technical and daily use of the software;
- Follow-up and evaluation indicators analysis and decision-making.
