West Africa - Innovative Experiences

After 2004, the innovative approaches are initiated by STEP programme in various fields:

• Micro-finance / Healthcare micro-insurance: AssEF (Benin), PAMECAS (Senegal);
• Organization of common management and follow-up services in the framework of mutual organizations unions: Dakar, Kaolack and Diourbel (Senegal); More
• Gathering of mutual organizations and/or socio-professional organizations in rural surroundings to install social protection schemes: Health zones (Benin), Zabré, PPOKK zone, Koudougou, Banfora (Burkina Faso);
• Social protection scheme administration shared between socio-professional organizations of the informal sector and the State: Social Security Mutual organization (Benin).
