West Africa - Populations excluded from the formal system
New support requests have been formulated in 2004 and 2005 by worker’s organizations of the formal and informal sector.
In this framework we include:
These new experiences set a new orientation concerning the extension of social protection:
- They aim target populations with particular importance and of national scale;
- They benefit from important direct support of the ministry in charge of labour and social protection. They also transform the will of the State to promote the extension of social protection towards excluded populations;
- These experiences are outside healthcare micro-insurance domain and need to carry out new organizational, technical management and financing modalities.
