The Social Security Department provides training on international social security standards, in particular on ILO social security Conventions and Recommendations.
For this purpose the department organizes training courses in ILO member states for government officials as well as social partners (employer / employee organizations), aiming at a better understanding of social security standards and their practical application and implementation at the national level.
Furthermore, the department contributes lectures on social security standards to seminars organized by the International Training Center in Turin.
On invitation by the Universiteit Maastricht Graduate School of Governance (Maastricht, The Netherlands), the department has designed a one-month intensive course on international social security standards; the course is part of the School's Masters Programme on Social Protection Policy (SPP). It focuses on international social security standards, with particular emphasis on their application and impact in the national and international perspectives.
