- Workshop and Commemorative Ceremony

Government officials (including directors), workers, and employers will attend the workshop and ceremony.

The ceremony will take place on the 22nd of April, 2008 (9:00 a.m.), in front of the Government House in Bangkok. Letters of Reommendation will be handed to the Royal Thai Government. This will be followed by a ceremony offering condolences in relation to 54 deaths and speeches by organizations and networks, which are working on issues related to migrant workers. Press releases will include: (i) Condemnatory speeches on violence and degradation relating to the human dignity of migrant workers and (ii) A call for the Royal Thai Government to immediately resolve tthe poor migrant worker situtation by means of an integrated approach.
