"The employers there are more keen on profit, they don't want to spend money on safety device, they don't organise any training for the people working there. And most of. the workers working there are illiterates, without any background or any training, they just enter and start working because they are poor and they don't have any job."

Narrator:
In their own defence, shipyard owners blame accidents on ignorance and carelessness. They claim new workers are especially at fault from lack of experience. And they say that accidents peak amongst these novices.
The contradictory awareness of danger was obvious. Some men were respectful of freyed winch ropes, others blase about the constant sparks. Some carried safety glasses instead of using them, others didn't seem to own any at all.

You know, our (level) of education is very low. Naturally our workers are less educated or not educated. These people need primarily some knowledge about hazards and accident and incidents, and points of hazards should be explained to them first. If they get knowledge of hazards that can happen or incidents that they may face, they will automatically get cautious about their work and rate of accident will get down.
