An ILO code of practice on HIV/AIDS and the world of work

The objective of this code is to provide a set of guidelines to address the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the world. It covers

prevention of HIV/AIDS;

management and mitigation the impact of HIV/AIDS on the world of work;

care and support of workers infected and affected by HIV/AIDS;

elimination o stigma and discrimination on the basis of real or perceived HIV status.
Contents: scope and terms; key principles; general rights and responsibilities; prevention through information and education; training; testing; care and support.
