When the software for viewing the CD-ROM edition of the Encyclopaedia is installed on the hard disk of your computer, it includes a file called "videodll.dll" that is necessary for displaying the animated title screen on older computers. It is incompatible with Windows XP and can be safely removed from the "iloenc" directory that is created during installation; installation will proceed normally, but the application will not start if the file is not removed.
