The ILO World Day for Safety and Health at Work is an annual event that takes place on the 28th April and aims to focus international attention on the promotion of safe, healthy and decent work. In 2007, the overall theme is Safe and Healthy Workplaces - Making Decent Work a Reality. The SafeDay website gives access to numerous products for the promotion of this major event.

CIS has prepared a bibliography containing references to a selection of items reflecting the theme of the 2007 World Day. The main subjects covered are: safe and healthy workplaces; decent work; international labour standards; labour inspection; social protection; social dialogue; and management of occupational safety and health.

References contain full bibliographic descriptions, including abstracts and links giving access to the documents on the Internet when available. They are extracted from the CISDOC bibliographic database, a practical tool for seeking information of international interest on occupational safety and health.
