TYPES OF
HAZARD /
EXPOSURE
ACUTE HAZARDS / SYMPTOMS      PREVENTION         FIRE FIGHTING
FIRE Combustible. NO open flames. Powder, alcohol-resistant foam, water spray, carbon dioxide.
EXPLOSION

EXPOSURE   PREVENT GENERATION OF MISTS!
Inhalation Cough. Sore throat. Euphoria. Headache. Drowsiness. Slurred speech. Ventilation, local exhaust, or breathing protection. Fresh air, rest.
Skin MAY BE ABSORBED! Redness. Dry skin. Numbness of the hands and fingers. (Further see Inhalation). Protective gloves. Protective clothing. Rinse and then wash skin with water and soap.
Eyes Redness. Pain. Safety goggles. First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then take to a doctor.
Ingestion   Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work. Rinse mouth. Give plenty of water to drink. Refer for medical attention.

SPILLAGE DISPOSAL PACKAGING & LABELLING
Collect leaking and spilled liquid in sealable containers as far as possible. Absorb remaining liquid in sand or inert absorbent and remove to safe place. (Extra personal protection: filter respirator for organic gases and vapours.) Xn Symbol

EMERGENCY RESPONSE STORAGE
NFPA Code: H3; F1; R0 Separated from strong oxidants.

IMPORTANT DATA
Physical State; Appearance
OILY COLOURLESS LIQUID, WITH CHARACTERISTIC ODOUR.

Chemical dangers
Reacts with strong oxidants.

Occupational exposure limits
MAK: 20 ppm, 110 mg/m³; H; Peak limitation category: I(2); Pregnancy risk group: C; (DFG 2002).

Routes of exposure
The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation of its aerosol, through the skin, and by ingestion.

Inhalation risk
A harmful contamination of the air will not or will only very slowly be reached on evaporation of this substance at 20°C.

Effects of short-term exposure
The substance is irritating to the eyes, the skin and the respiratory tract. The substance may cause effects on the central nervous system and peripheral nervous system, resulting in impaired functions.

Effects of long-term or repeated exposure
The liquid defats the skin. The substance may have effects on the central nervous system, resulting in impaired functions.
