The CIS Centres News system is a multilingual database containing news items related to developments in occupational safety and health worldwide. News items may be added, amended or deleted by authorized editors in various countries. Each editor may select one or more countries (typically, his own country and others in the same region) for which he may edit news items in any language. News items should be relevant to occupational safety and health and should not violate copyright restrictions. CIS does not accept responsibility for the content of news items and reserves the right to change or delete any items.
Interface language selection
To display the country names, languages and other interface text in English, French or Spanish, click on the respective language at the top of the screen.
To view a news item
On the CIS Centres News home screen, select the required country, language and date from the drop-down menus and click on "Search".
Items are displayed in chronological order according to their date of appearance on the database - most recent first. If a country is listed on the home screen with a certain number of entries, but fewer (or no) items show up in a search, the date limitation should be changed, e.g. to "no restriction".
In some cases, the title of the news item provides an Internet link to further information on another website. Click on the title to go to this external site.
Click on a contributor's name to send an e-mail.
News items may be printed by using your system print function.
To view contributors' details
On the CIS Centres News home screen, click on "Contributors" to display a list of contributors with their countries. On the Contributors screen, click on the number of entries to see all news items entered by that contributor. Click on a contributor's name to send an e-mail.
RSS

To subscribe to the RSS feed for the country and language combination currently selected, click on "Get this as an RSS feed". On the following screen, click on the XML button and copy the URL into your installed news reader.
An RSS feed may be set up in the same way for any country/language combination selected from the CIS Centres News home screen.
