Denmark has now joined Cuba, Finland, Japan, Sweden, the Czech Republic, the Republic of Korea and the United Kingdom in ratifying the 2006 Promotional Framework for Occupational Safety and Health Convention 187. The campaign for the ratification of this convention is still in full force. More countries are expected to ratify the Convention in the near future and will, we hope, include the provisions of this Convention in their national regulations. The Convention calls for a national policy, system and programme for occupational safety and health. It is to be hoped that with this ratification, countries will embark in this direction.
