Canada's Healthy Workplace Week (CHWW) is a time designated to increase awareness of how important healthy workplaces are to the long-term success of organizations. Through CHWW, Canadian organizations, large and small, are encouraged to learn about and participate in organizational health, prevention and wellness strategies. This year that week is 24-30 October. CHWW takes place within any organization that wants to promote it. The resource www.healthyworkplaceweek.ca has been created to give ideas on how organizations can get started by providing both activities for the week and long-term strategies. Available in English and French, this site contains valuable information on workplace health research, tools and resources. It also includes links to other health and wellness sites, books, articles and reports. CHWW is managed by three organizations: the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) [a CIS Center], HWW Conference Inc. and the National Quality Institute, under the overall direction of the Canadian Healthy Workplace Council.
