XVIIIth World Congress on Safety and Health at Work and 24th APOSHO Annual Conference

One month remains before the opening of the XVIIIth World Congress on Safety and Health at Work, which will be held in Seoul, Republic of Korea from 29 June to July 2nd 2008 at the Convention and Exhibition Centre (COEX).

The Preliminary programme of this event has been issued and is available on the Web site of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA). We invite you to promote this important event as widely as possible in your country and to any other person who may be interested in it.

See the Preliminary programme.

The World Congress is also an opportunity for the CIS National, Collaborating and Regional Centres to hold their 46th Annual Meeting on 29 June 2007.

Parallel to the Congress, on the same dates and at the same place will be held the 24th Annual Conference of Asia Pacific Occupational Safety and Health Organization (APOSHO).

This conference will be hosted, just like the Congress, by the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA) and the topic, common to these two events, is: "Safety and Health at Work. A Societal Responsibility". It is a real opportunity for all the specialists in safety and health at work from all over the world, more particularly those of the Asia-Pacific area, to share their experiences and knowledge on various subjects.

The main objectives of the Conference are:

  • Exchange of information and experience to promote the continuous improvement of occupational safety and health.
  • Establishing and enforcing international cooperation based on the network system.
  • Providing all Asia-Pacific countries with good pratices on the occupational safety and health.

For additional information see the 24th Annual Conference of Asia Pacific Occupational Safety and Health Organization (APOSHO).
